A shunned Minnesota stewardess mends her broken heart by becoming President of the United States, waging a third World War, torturing her straying lover and assassinating a political rival. A collage of video, dance and performance scored to the Beatles’ Abbey Road, Things Are Going To Change, I Can Feel It amplifies a highly personal tale of love lost into an epic, visually dramatic examination of the nexus where fame, power and idealism collide.
The piece received positive critical and audience response, garnering enthusiastic reviews and placement in a wide range of major NYC publications, including the New York Times, Backstage, Time Out New York and the Village Voice. Reviewers called the production “smart” (New York Times), “a strange spin” (Village Voice) and “sublime…with brilliant moments of social critique.” (Backstage)
