IM's newest piece, Chuck. Chuck. Chuck., is a collaborative, multimedia performance examining displacement, dislocation and memory, inspired by William Faulkner's As I Lay Dying.

Chuck. Chuck. Chuck. follows the tragic misadventures of the Bundren clan as they attempt to deal with their mother's death. Thwarted by floods, poverty, opportunistic grifters, and the stifling summer heat, the Bundrens struggle to carry her rapidly deteriorating corpse to her hometown for burial. The piece will be a non-linear collage of performance, video, music, dance and found text inspired by this story.

This work-in-progress, which focuses on the first half of the novel, was developed during a three-week residency at IRT.
