boring (boing!) is about the arbitrary nature of rules. The performance is an exploration of how systems break down, given insulated objectives that have no awarenes of the larger picture. It is also about failure and setting up an experience of failure within a system. Drawing inspiration from the murders of Jose and Kitty Menendez by their teenage sons, boring (boing!) imagines a world of young people indulging in compulsive behaviors that ultimately drive them towards (self-) destruction.
