Radical Generosity

We recently saw a showing of Royal Osiris Karaoke Ensemble’s new work The Art of Luv (Part 1) and it got us thinking. We arts nonprofits often ask others to love us — come to our show, write a good review, make a donation, give us that grant — but we don’t always think enough about what we are doing to show love to others. We want our supporters to be generous, but are we being generous enough ourselves?

The Future at the End of the World

This past year, IM has been looking into ways of serving a broader swath of NYC independent artists, in a more meaningful way. Our first step in this direction was our latest work, The Future at the End of the World, an experiment in building a real-time creative community through structured collaboration and resource sharing. Keep your eyes open for big announcements on this front in the near future. For now, please help us support our artists and the wild, risky, and absolutely vital work they will create in the coming year by making a tax-deductible donation.

Show Your Support for the Artists of the Future

Thanks to all who joined us for a wild trip through The Future at the End of the World at the James Farley Post Office this past week. If you are interested in our kind of genre-defying experiential art and want to keep tabs on what we are concocting for 2013, please be sure to join our mailing list or follow…

Printed in black and white with a minimalist design and plenty of inviting white space, the books will come with a box of crayons to encourage young readers to color, complete, deface or otherwise transform the work as they see fit. IM Sketchbook Series: Free Pinocchio Readings for Kids

Photo by: Andy Campbell “Once upon a time there lived…’a king!’ my little readers will say immediately. No, children, you are mistaken. Once upon a time there lived a piece of wood.” — Carlo Collodi, The Adventures of Pinocchio In late Summer 2010, Immediate Medium will begin work on The Assassins Chase Pinocchio, a piece of avant-garde theater for children inspired by Carlo Collodi’s 1883 coming-of-age novel The Adventures of Pinocchio.
